Thank You, DinnerGuest Carrie Mandel

The New York City chapter would like to thank DinnerGuest Carrie Mandel for joining us last night.  And while Alison Weaver was unable to attend due to a last-minute obligation, we thank her generous offer and have included her “talking points” below.

Carrie was a source of a tremendous amount of advice and inspiration. Just by sharing her story of her own career development — from just after college to pursuing a graduate degree to planning the balance of career and family — she offered an encouraging example to her younger sisters.

Carrie A. Mandel, BA Princeton 1993, JD Harvard University 1997
Managing Director, Major Hagen & Africa

Carrie earned her B.A. summa cum laude in comparative literature, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Carrie practiced as a litigation associate, focusing on intellectual property, at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler.

During her vacations, Carrie has guided and developed biking, walking and yachting trips for Butterfield & Robinson. Some of the trips she has led include hiking to Machu Picchu, racing America’s Cup yachts to Newport, and biking through Burgundy wine country.

In addition, she studied French business and law at the Ecole Polytechnique and is fluent in French.
