Post image for Recap: NYC 2010 Planning Session

Last Friday, a trio of fabulous ladies swapped thoughts on the job search, career transitions, yoga, finding a good therapist, the economy, and what to do when COBRA runs out.  Oh yeah — plus, we shared some ideas for the DinnerGrrls.org – NYC 2010 season.

Here’s how the 2010 program is shaping up thus far:

  • January – dinner – especially for women interested in figuring out / helping each other brainstorm ideas for how to translate “what you love” into “paying the rent”
  • February – afternoon workshop then dinner – topic:  how to set up a blog (bring your laptop :)
  • March – dinner – especially for women interested in discussing cultural changes over the past four decades vis a vis women’s equality
  • April – yoga 101 for newbies (and others!) followed by din
  • May – TBD – something geared around helping women translate “what they love” into “paying the rent”
  • June – TBD – something tactical to help women figure out how to actualize career nirvana.  “I know what I want — but I just need brass tacks help getting there.”
  • July – panel followed by a dinner – panel topic:  boob jobs and bonuses — navigating beauty, the male gaze, and your career
  • August – panel followed by a dinner – panel topic:  drinking the Kool-Aid — are groups like Landmark simply cults – in – disguise?
  • September – TBD – focus:  bliss translation
  • October – TBD – focus: operationalizing nirvana
  • November – TBD – focus: knowing yourself / your SELF :)
  • December – TBD – focus: knowing your bliss

Sadly, our comments box is broken, but feel free to discuss and suggest ideas elsewhere:

Please also let me know if you want to help organize an event :)

We’ve also got a dinner scheduled for next Friday, November 13th.  Click here to learn more :)
